]Children and Families, Prisoners and Ex-Offenders

To provide support, give information and advice and assist in providing a welcoming reception for those who are visiting prisoners in custody in HMP Berwyn. 1. To offer emotional and practical support to the families attending HMP Berwyn. 2. To give information and advice to families/visitors including signposting to other support agencies within the community. 3. Meet and greet visitors upon arrival at the prison, being friendly and approachable 4. To explain the procedure of prison visits and to issue first time visitors with the ‘1st Time Visits’ pack. 5. To support with running groups for the families such as forums and peer support groups. 6. To be aware of the Assisted Prison Visits Scheme and to distribute this information 7. To assist with filling out application forms 8. To adhere at all times to Pact’s Equal Opportunities Policy 9. Promote a relaxed atmosphere in which children and families may feel confident and have respect and consideration for each other 10. T
