What is an Internship?

An Internship is different from regular volunteering, as it is a structured, project-based placement designed to compliment your studies. Internships are available all year round and are typically 1-2 days per week for 2-4 months, ideal for doing in term time or in the holidays.

What kinds of internship can I do?

A broad range of opportunities are available including business, finance, education, IT, media, marketing and communications, events management, research and health and social care. All placements are within the voluntary sector, in organisations such as: charities, community groups, housing associations, social enterprises and youth clubs.

Where can I find these placements?

*Applications to the programme have now closed*

Is there a cost?

Travel expenses will be reimbursed in all cases to ensure you are not out of pocket. If an internship is paid, this will be clearly stated on the placement description.
