Area Co-ordinators / Commissioners are strong and dynamic leaders who provide strategic direction and management. They directly line manage an Area team and inspire and influence hundreds of adults volunteers and thousands of young people. As the head of an Area team you will be the driving force in ensuring that good quality Scouting is provided for young people, and that Scouting moves forward into the future as a growing organisation relevant to young people and adults alike. You will be capable of providing strategic direction, working with people of all ages and enabling change. The role can be adapted around your own strengths and availability. So, irrespective of your age, background or Scouting experience, if you think you have what it takes to inspire and motivate then get in touch to start your new adventure.

Is this role flexible? The majority of this role can be carried out in your own time however it does involve a significant amount of interaction with others (email, phone, in person) so a degree of flexibility is required.

Training provided: There are some required training modules that people in this role must complete. Some of our training is ILM accredited
