This is the first ever Newport Marathon and you could be a part of what is sure to be an electric day! Volunteers are essential in making sure that race day is a huge success and you will be part of a large team of amazing volunteers called ‘The Extra-Milers’ that will help ensure that runners and spectators alike have a great experience. You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm! There are a whole range of different roles available on race day and will be something to suit everyone such as; manning water stations, managing bag drop, photography and start/finish support. We’ll provide you with a volunteer uniform, breaks, refreshments and on the day support through a supervisor. Sign up now to be a part of this memorable day!

Additional support needs: On a case by case basis. Some volunteers with specific additional needs may need to be supported on race day.
Training provided: We provide a written brief prior to the event as well as a briefing on the morning of the event. Supervisors will then talk volunteers through individual roles as they start.
