We are looking for someone to help us co ordinate a team of more than 15 highly motivated volunteers and to recruit new volunteers for a wide range of roles. You will help us ensure all volunteers have a rewarding and enjoyable time whilst volunteering with the RSPB. Read more about this vacancy and how to apply here:

Is this role flexible? Your time Minimum: 1 day a week. Predominantly home based though you will need to visit the reserve office from time to time for meetings. Duration: 6 months with potential to extend Period: Starting in February 2018

Min hours expected per week: 6 hours

Min period of commitment: 6 months

Requirements: Essential •Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. •You need to be great with people, friendly and approachable. •Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills. •An ability to lead/inspire others and work as part of a team. •Creative and forward thinking. •A good level of IT skills. •Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team. Desirable •Previous experience of managing volunteers. •Previous experience of running small scale events.

Support offered:

/ Induction/ One to one supervision/ Peer support/ Social events/meetings

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone/ With paid staff

Training provided: Appropriate training will be provided and we will give you ongoing support. We will reimburse you for out of pocket travel (up to radius of 25 miles) and other expenses when necessary. The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for all of us. We belong to BirdLife International, the global partnership of bird conservation organisations. Your time and skills could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB and it would be great if you could join us!
