The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship is looking for volunteer Visitors to join their national befriending scheme for older people experiencing loneliness. Training required (one day seminar), all reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. We have visiting opportunities currently in Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Llandrindod Wells,Neath, Newport, Penarth, Rhyl and Swansea

Premises type: Homes of beneficiaries

Public transport: The volunteers would be providing home visits to older people

Is this role flexible? The time frame could be Mon-Sun at pre-agreed times to suit both volunteer and beneficiary

Min hours expected per week: 0 hours

Min period of commitment: At least 6 months

Requirements: Good social and conversational skills, empathy with older people, ability to listen and engage.

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone

Personal and professional development through training and ongoing support from the charity. Also holistic benefits achieved from the visiting experience.

Training provided: All volunteers are provided with training on all aspects of befriending
