You will organise monthly informal support group meetings at a regular venue. You will liaise with the venue and ensure a welcoming environment. From time to time, you will pass on helpful information on behalf of Epilepsy Action. You will be in contact with the Local Services Manager (LSM), keeping them informed and reporting back on attendance levels.

Requirements: You must be confident in engaging with people and be able to put them at ease. Friendly, welcoming manner. Willingness to attend coffee and chat groups on a regular basis Open to new ideas and initiatives to make the group an interesting place for people to attend Positive attitude to people with long term health needs Ability to enable others to become confident

Support offered:

/ Induction/ One to one supervision/ Mentoring/buddying/ Social events/meetings

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone/ In a group/ With paid staff/ With other volunteers

Support from Local Services Manager

Additional support needs: Depending on the needs of the volunteer

Training provided: Full Induction and on going support from Staff

Age requirements: 18+
