Are you friendly and outgoing? We’re looking for someone to assist our team with social and special interest group meetings for blind and partially sighted people. We need you to provide general assistance and support at our activity events. Having a chat and providing company; Help set up and run activities; Making teas and coffees Supporting the delivery of a safe, enjoyable and successful activity under the guidance of staff.

Premises type: Community based - various locations in Swansea

Public transport: Local volunteer will be aware

Min hours expected per week: 3 hours

Requirements: Good Communication Skills; A caring and friendly nature; Friendly, helpful and understanding; Empathy with partially sighted people

Support offered:

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ In a group/ With paid staff

Understanding Sight Loss Pack; Induction; Expenses; Supervision and help from your Manager; Training as appropriate; Sighted Guiding Training

Training provided: As required

Age requirements: 16+

/ Application form/ References/ Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check

"Out of pocket" expenses refunded for the following:
