Do you have personal experience of fertility issues - particularly involuntary childlessness? Fertility Network UK are looking for Local Contact volunteers across Wales. As a Local Contact volunteer you will coordinate and run a social group in the local area for people experiencing the challenges of childlessness. You will take care of all aspects of the group including: Act as main contact for the group Organise and maintain an email circulation list of people within the group Organise social activities or informal gatherings Offer peer to peer support and friendship Promote the group in the local area Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator who will connect you to people looking for support Adhere to Fertility Network UK policies and procedures Fertility Network UK provides advice, information and support for anyone affected by fertility issues. Training and support provided. Males and females welcome to apply.

Min period of commitment:

Requirements: Good communication and leadership skills, reliability and trustworthiness, knowledge of fertility issues (essential) – particularly involuntary childlessness, motivated with IT and administrative skills, public speaking skills to address groups of people, willing to undertake training, attend events etc

Support offered:

/ Induction/ One to one supervision

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone/ In a group

Training provided: Home based training and ongoing support from Volunteer Co-ordinator

Age requirements: 18+

"Out of pocket" expenses refunded for the following:

People unsuitable for this opportunity:
This opportunity involves peer support therefore restricted to those with knowledge and experience of involuntary childlessness
