Join the Swansea and District team of volunteers at this exciting time as we develop new services and activities across Swansea, Carmarthen, Llanelli and the surrounding area. Could you help us with...? • Group co-ordination • Finance • Activities • Newsletters, promotion and communication • Fundraising • Transport • Property admin • Membership and other admin roles You would be part of a team that meets once a month in informal locations (pubs, cafes) to catch up, make plans and create a network of support and activities for people affected by MS. Working in your area, from home, or across the patch, you will be supported by staff members and the MS Society as well as by other local volunteers. If you have ideas, skills or experience that you would like to contribute please get in touch - roles are flexible and we're keen for developments.

Is this role flexible? These roles are all, within reason, flexible with aspects that can be carried out at any time and aspects that can be carried out at agreed upon, suitable times. Roles will require 8 hours a month but not necessarily spread equally across weeks.


Min hours expected per week: 2 hours


Min period of commitment:

Requirements: Most roles would benefit from being able to use email and the internet and some roles eg finance and group co-ordinator would benefit from some experience in those areas. Induction and some training are provided - please contact Katie to discuss any roles in more detail.


Support offered:

/ Induction/ Peer support/ Social events/meetings


Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ In a group/ With paid staff/ With other volunteers


Additional support needs: Paperwork can be provided in additional formats, meetings will take place in accessible buildings and roles are flexible in terms of hours/times. Please contact Katie to discuss any support needs.


Training provided: Training opportunities will vary from role to role and will, mainly, be quite informal.

Age requirements: 18+
