]Campaigning and Lobbying
Can you spread the word about Samaritans? A big part of the Samaritans South Wales Valleys Project is making people aware of our services. How to get in touch with us and how we can help. We have a new free to call number - did you know? Lot's of people don't. Could you help us by approaching organisations that work with the general public to give them our publicity materials. Or could you give talks to groups about the work of the Samaritans. Full support given with a team approach to all of our work.

Premises type: community based
Public transport: All volunteering can be done via public transport or lifts with other volunteers. All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with our policy.
Is this role flexible? Yes, as flexible as the people we are spreading the word too.

Requirements: A keen interest in the work of the Samaritans. Being approachable and a good talker will really help.

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

We always volunteer in pairs, you will always be fully supported.
Additional support needs: All efforts will be taken to support you to do as much as you feel able to do.
Training provided: All Samaritans volunteers have induction training followed by training specific to their role.
