• To welcome customers into store • To assist customers with queries in a friendly, positive manner • Deal with customer concerns in an appropriate way, seeking the assistance of a manager when appropriate • Using the computerised till system to log all till sales • Encourage customers to sign up for Gift Aid when purchasing or donating items. • Ensure the till area is clean and tidy at all times

Is this role flexible? Yes- individuals can volunteer at times that suit their needs

Min hours expected per week: 3 hours

Min period of commitment:

Requirements: • Ability to operate as a team member. • Excellent communication skills • Flexible attitude to types of tasks required within the role. • Respect for the organisation’s policies. • A willingness to participate in relevant and appropriate training in order to carry out the duties required of the role. • Reliability.

Support offered:

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone/ In a group/ With paid staff/ With other volunteers

Each shop has a manager, deputy, volunteers and companions

Additional support needs:

Training provided: Induction and further on the job training

Age requirements: 16+
