South Wales Miners' Museum resides in the beautiful Afan Valley portrays the working life of a miner and the hardship adults and children had to endure. The museum is made up of both indoor and outdoor exhibits that include a Blacksmith shop, Lamp Room and an Engine House. We encourage visits from schools, community groups and families who we aim to inform and entertain. We want to increase our visitor numbers and improve our Front of House experience for visitors as well as focusing on the Marketing of the museum and encouraging new ideas and groups to come and visit us. This role involves: 1) Meeting and Greeting visitors in a warm and friendly manner. 2)Answering the telephone, filing as appropriate and sending and answering emails when appropriate. 3)Thinking and creating new creative ways of marketing the museum. 4)Uploading new content on to our social media pages and onto our website. 5) Customer Service.
