Could you help us reach out to unpaid carers in your local area? Many carers do not think of themselves as carers, and don’t know about support available. As a volunteer you will raise awareness of support for carers by whatever means you prefer. You could put up posters or distribute leaflets in community hubs such as libraries, GP surgeries, supermarkets etc. You could support an information stand in a hub or pop along to community groups and tell them about the life of carers and support that’s available. We don’t expect you to be an expert, just have a keenness to talk to people. We believe no one should have to care alone.
