About St Gwladys’: At St Gwladys’ Church Hall we provide a welcoming and a pleasant environment for our community and Church members. Through support and dedication from our staff and volunteers we envision our Hall as a hub of activity for our local community and surrounding areas. General Description: To assist with general maintenance, repair and up-keep of St Gwladys’ Church Hall and its grounds. The role requires an excellent knowledge of Health and Safety, with experience in using various DIY equipment e.g. Drills, Screwdrivers (manual and electric), Wrenches, Allen Keys, Ladders, Hammers etc. The ability and willingness to volunteer on an ad hoc basis is required. Key responsibilities: • General DIY projects e.g. putting up shelves • Painting and Decorating when required • Maintenance of fixtures • Replacing light bulbs • Clearing and maintaining outside guttering and drains • Other tasks depending on weather and season

Public transport: Our Hall is within walking distance of both train and bus stations.
Is this role flexible? This is an ongoing ad-hoc role
Min hours expected per week: 0 hours
Min period of commitment: 6weeks
Requirements: Experience and an interest in DIY is required
/ Induction/ One to one supervision/ Social events/meetings
Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:
/ Alone/ With paid staff/ With other volunteers
Training provided: Training related to the job role will be provided e.g. specific use of equipment, regular Health and Safety Training, 1st Aid etc.
