Providing one-to-one support for up to a year to a young person looking to move into employment, education or training. The role involves: - Having regular meetings with a young person - Providing a young person with support to move towards employment, education or training - Supporting a young person to identify goals and targets to work towards - Empowering them to make their own decisions about their development - Signposting them to other organisations for support

Min hours expected per week: 2 hours


Min period of commitment: Up to 12 months

Requirements: - understanding or experience of job searching, CV writing and interview preparation - understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries in a mentor relationship - an understanding of the issues facing The Prince’s Trust target groups - good interpersonal skills - reliability - good written and spoken English skills - an ability to work as part of a team - an ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently - willingness to uphold the values of The Trust. Our values are approachable, non-judgmental.

Volunteers will be carrying out the activities:

/ Alone/ With paid staff


Training provided: All volunteers are required to attend a minimum of two days of mandatory training covering working with our young people and mentoring skills, as well as additional training and on-going refresher training as required. All volunteers will also undergo an annual review.

Age requirements: 26+
