Our new project in Anglesey provides floating support to 12 service users over the age of 25 at any one time. The service users will have no immediate access to settled accommodation and will often have complex needs. Our service users will normally be supported for up to 2 years and will work towards achieving independent living. The project will support our service users to engage with partner agencies to deal with a range of issues which may include mental health, poor physical health, substance misuse, offending or domestic abuse. Volunteer duties include, but aren't limited to: Initially… • Undertaking administrative work and to become familiar with the Wallich way of working. • Shadowing members of staff to become familiar with our service user base. Later, when confident and trained… • Working alongside staff to support service users • Accompanying clients to Doctors, Benefit appointments, and any other necessary appointments. • Undertaking leisure activities with clients.
