18th Oct 2017 - Show your support for the #iwill campaign

#iwill is a UK-wide campaign aiming to make participation inmeaningfulsocial action, like volunteering, campaigning or fundraising, a normal part of life for young people aged between 10-20.

Involvement in social action has been shown to create adouble benefit- to communities AND young people by helping them to develop their skills and wellbeing. The #iwill campaign is a cross-party, cross-sector initiative supported by more than 700 influential organisations including Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

#iwillWeek 2017runs between November 20th and 24th and this year we want you to help us shine a light on the great work that young people are involved in that helps to build communities. We'd like you to consider how your organisation, and others you work with, can get involved. Can you engage local schools, businesses and charities to help spread the word about the value of youth social action? You'll be part of a growing UK-wide movement that celebrates the capacity of young people to lead social change. There are lots of great resources to help you celebrate here.

Another way to show your support is by creating an #iwill pledge. So far more than 700 influential organisations from across UK society have made tangible commitments to support youth social action. You can find out how to pledge here and find out who the hundreds of other #iwill partners are, here.  For support from WCVA in developing a pledge please contact
