Take volunteering to a new level

Victim Support Cymru is the Welsh subsidiary charity of Victim Support. We help over 80,000 people in Wales cope with crime every year. We’ve been going through big changes. Over the last year we’ve merged a federation of 5 Welsh charities and have become part of a new, national charity for victims and witness across England and Wales. We are also transforming our services to deliver 21st century support to victims of crime, and to witnesses. And we have even bigger ambitions for the future.

We need new trustees to help guide us at this crucial time. These are challenging voluntary roles that require high level leadership skills. We want committed and skilled people who live or work in Wales and are in tune with the diverse communities we serve. In particular we are seeking people with experience in marketing and fundraising, and health and wellbeing services. The ability to communicate in Welsh would also be an advantage.

Your commitment to us will include attending board meetings (usually 5 a year) plus other committee meetings and events, mostly in Wales, and helping our charity achieve its ambitious goals.

Our commitment to you will be to stimulate and engage you, and give you the satisfaction of overseeing a charity that leads the world in help for victims and witnesses. Naturally, we’ll pay your expenses too.
