To offer a mentoring service to people who have bipolar in psychiatric units
Community Work:
Volunteers are required to assist with making shopping bags for their local community

They aim to support older people through providing information as well as through our practical schemes - befriending, handyperson, gardening, shopping, phone a friend, Silver Surfer Internet Sessions and Burglary Prevention

Silver Surfer

IT Skills - Person to help teach internet surfing skills to older people.  Age Concern Sir Gar is involved in a campaign called 'The Silver Surfer' which aims to promote surfing the internet & the use of email in the over 50's and to show how easy it is.  This promotes the diversification of services for older people and encourages independence and learning in later life.  To provide taster sessions on how to surf the internet and use of email.  Taster sessions are one to one or maximum of 2.
