Action for Children are looking for a team of people who want to make a difference to the lives of UK’s most vulnerable children. At certain times of the year, our fundraisers and volunteers are especially busy and at these times, we will contact you to see if you’re available to help out. We may ask you to spare a couple of hours helping out in one of our regional offices, or to steward at one of our fundraising events. This role is especially good for those who can’t commit a specific amount of time to volunteering; we’ll simply contact you if we need an extra pair of hands to see if you’re free to help out. There’s absolutely no commitment – you choose how often you volunteer and whether the activity and date suits you!

Duties could include:

• Stewarding and helping out at our fundraising events, including abseils, running events, quiz nights and balls.
• Helping market these fundraising events by asking local community centres and churches to display promotional flyers.
• Helping with administration in our local office, include counting money from collections and preparing mailings to send out to our supporters.
