A joint project with Keep Wales Tidy to develop methods of carrying out Environmental Surveys along the National Cycle Network, either by cycling or on foot.
Sustrans currenty has the following volunteering opportunity:
NCN Environmental Quality Project
(Initially piloted on Swiss Valley/Heads of the Valleys areas)
- Collecting data to measure the incidence of litter, refuse, fly-tipping, graffiti etc.
- Using GPS systems and OS maps to identify specific locations
- Entering data via a PC based system
- Carrying out ongoing monitoring of environmental standards
Volunteers must be age 18. CRB checks will be undertaken if working with children / young people. Training provided.
