Volunteers aged 16+  are required for the Study and Career section of Freshties newspaper profiles intervies of people in jobs, in courses of study or volunteering. This is to inspire and inform people of job roles and education.  Volunteer interviewers conduct interviews face to face and on the telephone with people from businesses, education and organisations who have agreed to be interviewed.  The role is to co-ordinate this activity- identifying potential interviewees, selecting and arranging interviewers to conduct the interview and following it through writing it up to publication.  Speaking to businesses and organisations on the telephone and face to face to tell them about the project and encourage them to become involved.
The time commitment is around 2 days per week negotiable with the organisation.  Full training is provided and out of pocket expenses will be re-imbursed.  An informal discussion, references and a Criminal Records Check will be required.
