The British Red Cross Society is looking for Support Workers to help deliver therapeutic care treatments that are provided to individuals who are going through a period of crisis in their lives.
The treatments are delivered in agreed placements. There are 2 types of placement. One would be to work in our regular type placements and the other would suit someone who is prepared to visit a variety of places - so their own transport could be of help.
Placements typically include:
- hospitals
- hospices
- mental health drop-in centres
- carer support
- substance misuse support centres and; some pamper days etc.
The service itself consists of a 45 minute treatment which includes hand care, arm massage, neck and shoulder massage delivered through the client's clothes.
