The Llanfyllin Area Resource provides a service to around 20 lively and sociable adults who have a learning disability. People who use this service have a choice of activities including wood working, gardening, computer skills, basic skills and crafts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help out and meet new people, gain valuable employability skills and contribute to your local community.
Volunteers are needed to provide one to one support on a Tuesday morning in classes such as film making and IT skills. This could involve going on field trips and helping staff with equipment.
Do you have what it takes to plan, organise and host a successful event in aid of Mencap?
The Mencap Cymru fundraising team are looking for volunteers to hold events such as 'Tea With Me' and 'Walk With Me' around the country in order to raise money and awareness of Mencap Cymru and learning disability. Events can be organised around any activity, including dog walks, bingo, car boot sales, sponsored swims and fashion shows.
By gaining the support of the local community, businesses, media and public figures the aim is to run an effective, popular and structured event.
