To provide support to a deafblind group (s) enabling the deafblind people present to widen their social networks and friendships. This role can include preparation of drinks, communication support, guiding, group and one to one conversations and assisting with equipment that assists deafblind people such as portable hearing aid loops. Reducing deafblind people's isolation, and improving their quality of life.

Group Volunteer
- To support members of the deafblind group to engage in the activities of that group, To provide communication and guiding support as needed to enable all deafblind members to be fully involved in the group's activities.
- To support the development of new activities within the group
- To promote involvement in presentations, and other activities offered to the group from various organisations
- Where appropriate to assist with the preparation and distribution of refreshments within the group
- Where appropriate to use your personal vehicle to transport deafblind people to their deafblind group, whilst adhering to the guidelines on driving in Deafblind Cymru's Volunteer Handbook
- To provide regular updates of your volunteering activity to your supervisor
- To provide a regular commitment of time and provide a much notice of any absence as possible
Volunteers required for a minimum of 4 hours a month
Volunteers must be 18 and over. CRB checks undertaken. Out of pocket expenses reimbursed.
