Teaching and Training:

What you’ll do Make a minimum commitment of 2 years to the relationship Give 2-4 hours per month Attend training before you start your role Regularly meet and actively develop a supportive relationship with your assigned young person Help the young person develop their business, build their confidence and personal skills Guide the young person to find and interpret information, understand problems, identify solutions and make their own decisions Help the young person work towards business goals and action plans, and review their achievements Regularly communicate with your Prince’s Trust contact, sending feedback reports describing the young person’s progress and business performance

Working in a Barnardo's shop at Llangollen Retail Store.

Running the Barnardo's store needs a good team and you could be part of it. Assist the shop manager in the everyday running of the Barnardo's store. Promote a positive image of Barnardo's to the public. Help to raise vital funds for Barnardo's work with children, young people and their families. Look through donations and select and sort the quality stock. Work behind the scenes and help to hang, size, steam and price stock. Keep our shop looking good by merchandising and replenishing stock on the shop floor. Create a good shopping experience by providing friendly customer service. You could even provide some administrative support.
