Volunteer Task Description To assist staff in the following: Assist staff setting up and clearing up the activity session Welcoming parents/ carers and children helping children to settling in Creating a friendly caring environment to be willing to initiate play and converstion with children Engaging in activities with children, eg crafts, singing, stories etc Engage in play activities with children Assist preparation and giving out snacks and drinks Assist in keeping room and equipment clean and tidy Assist on outings To inform a staff member of any safety issues arising Be familiar with Spark policies and procedures, including child protection, health and safety etc

Suggested tasks: • visit people with MS in hospital, residential care or who are isolated at home (as requested) • provide emotional support (a listening ear) to people you visit • adhere to health and safety guidelines on lone working • identify any problem areas for the individual or family visited and refer to the lead support volunteer
